I was looking at the VHSL record book online just last week and noticed that. We do have quite a few from this area in there for various sports. Congrats AA.
Coeburn's Adkins earns place in VHSL record book

Coeburn High's Andrew Adkins has entered the state record book.
Adkins, a rising sophomore at Coeburn, has been listed in the most recent edition of the Virginia High School League record book which was released in July.
The book lists Adkins as the record holder for the most consecutive free throws made in a game "? 19 "? and the most consecutive free throws hit in a single quarter "? 14.
Both of his record-breaking feats came in the Blue Knights' 78-69 Lonesome Pine District win over the Powell Valley Vikings on Jan. 20.
Adkins' 14 consecutive free throws in a quarter came in the fourth period of the Coeburn victory.
The free-throw accuracy also sparked a streak of 35 straight made free throws by Adkins during his freshman season.
"It's a great feeling,"? Adkins said Tuesday from his home. "As a freshman, making it in the record book is really a big honor. Really, it's a honor for anybody to make it in."?
Entering the record book on last season's performance could be just the beginning of record-breaking efforts for Adkins.
During his freshman season Adkins scored 424 points, with 125 of them coming from the free-throw line. He finished the season hitting 85.6 percent of his shots from the foul line, connecting on 125 of 146 attempts.
"I practice free throws more than anything else really,"? Adkins said. "It just takes a lot of practice.
Making free throws is nothing new for Adkins.
During three summer camps at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Adkins was crowned the free-throw champion after connecting on 80 of 81 free throws.
